Your data will be processed by us and by Facebook. Below, we describe which data we process on the Fan Page for which purposes and explain our relationship with Facebook. What personal data does ANI process in the context of your use of our Fan Page and for what purpose?
When you use our Fan Page, we process the following personal data:
1.1 Technical usage data
When you use our Fan Page, we process technical information about your visit to our Fan Page, such as the IP address of your device, the time you visit our Fan Page, and the website from which you accessed our Fan Page.
We process this data for the technical administration and provision of the Fan Page and in order to obtain statistical information about the use of our Fan Page as the operator of the Fan Page.
Article 6(1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interests) is the legal basis for the processing of this data. Our interest is the administration and improvement of the Fan Page.
1.2 Statistical usage data
We process information about page views, posts or videos, subscriptions, likes of posts, recommendations of posts or comments, sharing of posts, reactions of or comments on posts, notifications of posts, clicks on links to other pages directing to the Fan Page, mouse-overs over names or profile pictures in order to get a preview of content, clicks on buttons on a Fan Page and on the device (computer or mobile device) with which you are logged in ("Usage Data"). We only receive data in aggregated, i.e. in a summarized, form via the Facebook tool "Page Insights" (https://www.facebook.com/business/a/page/page-insights and https://en-gb.facebook.com/legal/terms/information_about_page_insights_data) ("Insights Data"). We cannot attribute Insights Data to you as a person.
We process this data for the technical administration and for the provision of the Fan Page and in order to obtain statistical information about the use of our Fan Page as the operator of the Fan Page.
Article 6(1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interests) is the legal basis for the processing of this data. Our interest is the administration and improvement of the Fan Page.
We and Facebook are joint controllers for processing the Insights Data. This means that Facebook and we process this data for our common purpose of learning about the usage patterns of users of our Fan Page. Facebook, as the operator of the platform, collects the detailed Usage Data from you; we only receive the summarized Insights Data from Facebook. Therefore, only Facebook determines the decisions about the processing of Usage Data in connection with Page Insights. As a result of such a joint controllership, the EU General Data Protection Regulation requires that we enter into a contract with Facebook. 1.3 Likes, Posts and Messages
If you use our Fan Page, we process:
- your Facebook username and profile picture;
- your click interactions with our posts ("likes", "shares", etc.); and
- your comments, posts, messages and other content that you provide to us on the Fan Page.
We process this data to provide you and other users of the Fan Page with our other media offerings, your content, the Fan Page, and the Fan Page’s experience.
Article 6(1) (b) GDPR (contract performance) is the legal basis for the processing of this data. The existing contractual relationship between us is your use of the Fan Page. In cases where your content is used on other media offerings of ANI, the legal basis for the processing is Article 6(1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interests). Our interest is providing information to our fans and the users of our media offers.
1.4 Other use of our Fan Page
In individual cases, where the data processing is not necessary to fulfil a contract, we process your personal data based on your consent. In these cases, we will explain to you further details about this data processing in connection with obtaining your consent.

3 Data processing by Facebook
All other personal data that is processed when you use Facebook is not processed by us, but by Facebook. We have no access to this data. For the processing of your personal data by Facebook, Facebook’s privacy policies (https://en-gb.facebook.com/policy.php) apply.
3.1 Data transfers to the U.S.
In order to provide the Fan Page on the Facebook platform, your personal data will be processed by Facebook Ireland Limited and transferred to Facebook, Inc. in the United States (and other third countries as described at https://en-gb.facebook.com/policy.php). Facebook has, however, self-certified to the principles of the EU-U. S. Privacy Shield.
